Artefaction has been our software development partner since 2005 when they began the development of an intranet-based document and workflow management system in support of our quality management initiatives. The documents addressed both internal and external process improvements and included some complex data-driven and reversible workflows. Artefaction took the time to understand our requirements and worked closely with our staff to develop Customer Complaint Notifications, Corrective Action Requests, Nonconformance Reports, Purchase Requisitions, New Product Forms, Applications for Product Development and Technical Advice Requests, to name a few. The system has been built on industry-standard technologies including Microsoft Visual Studio and SQL Server and is integrated with Tyco's Active Directory system for single sign-on.
These processes are still in use today in offices across Australia and New Zealand and are a testament to the quality, usability and reliability of the intranet application. The system also includes storage of and reference to a wide range of other quality-based documentation which is available to anyone on the Tyco intranet.
Douglas Misst - Operational Excellence and Quality Manager - Scott Safety (a Tyco International Company)
Artefaction has been our software development partner since 1989 and has continued to enhance our systems to meet our changing requirements as the business has grown. They have supported our view that systems should adapt to the company's policies, procedures and processes rather than forcing us to change our business model to suit the system's capabilities. This has been particularly important when managing our large range of products (over 5,500) and customers (2,500 plus) together with an automated and complex data-driven pricing model that allows us to process orders with a high degree of confidence. This has all been integrated into our debtors, creditors, inventory and stock management system and has been built on industry-standard technologies including Microsoft Visual Studio and SQL Server.
Artefaction has also encouraged us to be self-sufficient when it comes to reporting so we can extract and manipulate information to better serve the needs of our customers and suppliers. Artefaction staff understand the Wholesale Food Distribution industry very well and have played an integral part in the development of efficient and effective business and system processes.

"Peter Stanford, as part of the Quality Management Team, was instrumentalin ensuring that the Quality Management System (QMS) was ready for implementation by 30 June 2017, as per our Operating Licence requirements. Delivery of this initial milestone was a major project involving consultation and collaboration with a broad range of stakeholders over many months. This required Peter, as part of the QMS team, to work down to the wire to assist us to capture our key QMS processes. This work was done whilst the business was restructuring and implementing a new operating model. Delivery of this phase of the QMS project ensures we continue to manage the risks around the products and services we deliver to our customers appropriately, demonstrate continuous improvement and meet our Operating Licence obligations."
